Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge hosts 20th Annual Gala

Gala

DULUTH, Minn. — People across the Twin Ports gathered Thursday for the 20th annual Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge Gala.

The event is put on every year to bring awareness to those who are struggling with addiction and raise money for the Minnesota Adults and Teen Challenge program.

The program works with men in Duluth to provide a thirteen-month treatment program, helping each individual fight addiction.

Gala festivities this year included dinner, guest speakers, and a large silent auction with all proceeds going towards the Adult Teen Challenge.

“It’s our largest fundraiser of the year. We try and raise a lot of money for our Northland campus of Adult and Teen Challenge for men fighting addiction issues and trying to find freedom and life transformation. It’s a faith-based program, and we have 72 beds. We raise a lot of money to keep the operation going,” said Brandon Torgerson, Center Director of the MnTC Northland campus.

Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge encourages anyone who is looking for help to reach out to them through their website.
