UW-Superior Hosts “Freedom of Speech” Event

SUPERIOR, Wis. — UW-Superior invited the community in once again for a discussion on politics.

The “Freedom of Speech” event, which featured a guest from the “Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression”, was part of the UW-Superior Link Center’s ongoing “Superior Dialogues” series.

The 2nd year series is designed to help maintain healthy conversations and relationships for people with differing political beliefs, both students and community alike.

“Consistency and engagement, when it comes to having that critical dialog that with folks that might not agree with you, is something we all need to do in our daily lives and our professional lives,” said Katelyn Baumann, an outreach program manager with the Link Center.

“We do it in a myriad of different ways here at UW-Superior and we want to really encourage the community to also come to campus, to have those impactful learning experiences.”

The final night of the “Superior Dialogues” series is a “Constructive Conversations” event on Oct. 30, and those interested can find the sources for registration on the Link Center’s website.
