Motorcyclist Injured After Crashing Into McDonald’s Sign in Grand Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. — A 29-year-old man was hurt after crashing his motorcycle into the McDonald’s welcome sign on in Grand Rapids late Wednesday night.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened around 11:34 p.m. on October 9. The man was turning from Pokegama Avenue onto SW 13th Street when he made a wide turn into the McDonald’s entrance, went over a curb, and struck the sign.
He was thrown from the bike and taken to St. Mary’s Essentia with non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers say he was not wearing a helmet, and alcohol was involved.
