Investigator suing the City of Superior resigns

Superior Police Car DoorSUPERIOR, Wis. – Mikayla LeRette, the Investigator suing the city of Superior, has resigned.

She resigned in good standing about the same time both LeRette’s legal team and the City of Superior’s legal team agreed to some confidentiality terms in her federal lawsuit.

On October 2, 2025 an agreement was made to keep some parts of evidence in the lawsuit confidential.

Both sides agreed in court filings to keep “training, personnel, and disciplinary file” plus “security numbers, home addresses, names of minor children, full dates of birth, financial account numbers, passwords, medical and psychological records” confidential in the court proceedings.

Also to be kept confidential are, “safety and security processes and procedures of the City of Superior and the City of Superior Police Department and/or Police Station.”

A lot of LeRette’s complaint centers around actions during and after LeRette’s pregnancies.

Most of the the remainder of the complaint focuses on the tracking of LeRette’s vehicle and her schedule.

Recent court filings slate the trial to begin September 28, 2026.
