Amnicon Lake house fire leaves 1 dead

AMNICON LAKE, Wis. — One person is dead after a house fire in Amnicon Lake.

According to officials, on Wednesday at 7:54 a.m., they responded to 7925 S Finn Point Rd to a report of a house on fire.

Once the fire was put out, officials found the body of a 71-year-old man in the basement.

Officials believe he was the only occupant of the home.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown. Check back for updates.
