Large Turnout for MN State Fire Chiefs Association Conference
DULUTH, Minn.– The DECC is seeing quite a large turnout for its annual Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association Conference.
Over 540 fire chiefs from around the state are gathering to network and develop connections and strategies.
It’s also an opportunity for the attendees to learn about new technology, leadership skills, and resiliency.
With the conference, it gets all of the chiefs up to speed about changing equipment and systems.
One of the chiefs said that this job can’t be done alone, and that this networking opportunity can be lifesaving.
“I think the critical piece about coming together is we can come together as a community, and we can start to exchange business cards and basically build our networks as a new fire chief or as an experienced fire chief, reinforce those relationships that help us to deliver the best service for our communities,” said Mike Dobesh, President MnFIRE.
Dobesh also told FOX 21, the conference has been a tradition since he started over 20 years ago.
And for the last four years, the DECC has hosted this gathering.
