#18 UMD Men’s Hockey Puts Unbeaten Road Record to the Test at #12 Minnesota
UMD is in search of their first win against Minnesota since October of 2021.
DULUTH, Minn.- Like the UMD women’s hockey team, the Bulldog men will also be taking on the Gophers this weekend.
The two teams last met a little over a year ago on October 18th and 19th, with Minnesota taking both contests 7 to 5 and 5 to 1.
UMD is so far a perfect 3-0 on the road this year and head coach Scott Sandelin hopes to keep it that way.
“This team likes to get up and down the rink. They have the ability to score goals but they’re quick in transition. Power plays are always good, probably because they have a lot of good players and it should be a really good test for us,” said Sandelin.
“Just like the way we’ve been hounding pucks, like the way we’ve been stealing pucks and making quick plays off the other team’s mistakes. If they make mistakes, we have to capitalize on it,” added Max Plante.

Puck drop is at 7 PM on Friday.
