Business Leader Summit Held to Inform and Update

DULUTH, Minn. — Local Businesses gathered to attend a Business Leader Summit at Kitchi Gammi Club on Wednesday, October, 22.

The summit focused on updating employers after the changes to Minnesota and Federal legislature.

Speakers presented on topics such as trends in insurance and banking in the tax world, as well as human resources changes and paid family medical leave.

Attendees were from a variety of industries, mostly represented by Executives, Chief Officers, and HR professionals.

“I think it’s important because they learn from each other, their experiences. So, there’s certain things that are certainly industry specific, but there’s a lot that’s shared between employers of different sizes, and so it’s a great opportunity for the leaders in different industries to get together and compare notes and see what’s working and what’s not.” said Justin Turch, Managing Partner of Turch and Associates.

Terch & Associates, an HR consulting firm put this summit together.

Previously they held something similar with clients, but this is the first time holding it in this format.
