St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office warns of scam calls pretending to be law enforcement
DULUTH, Minn. — The St. Louis County Sheriff’s office is warning community members of potential scam calls.
According to officials, they have become aware of scam calls where the caller claims to be a member of law enforcement.
In some cases, these callers demand money for different reasons, such as missed court dates or failing to appear for witness testimony.
Officials say these calls are not legitimate and that law enforcement will not call members of our community to ask for payment over the phone.
If you receive one of these calls, do not provide them with any form of payment.
