State Boys Soccer: Southwest Christian Scores Two Unanswered Goals to Eliminate Duluth Marshall
Duluth Marshall finishes the season with a 11-6-2 record.
FOREST LAKE, Minn.- The Duluth Marshall boys soccer team made their 3rd straight state tournament appearance on Thursday night.
Playing Southwest Christian in the Class A quarterfinals, Marshall held a 1-0 lead for the first 75 minutes of the contest.
Benson Peterson scored the goal for the Hilltoppers.
After that though, the Stars rallied back to force overtime and then in OT, Andrew Nicholson netted the game-winner ending Marshall’s title hopes.
Duluth Marshall finishes the season with a 11-6-2 record.
