Community Gathers in Superior to Honor Todd Eckhart’s Legacy
SUPERIOR, Wis. — Friends, fans, and fellow musicians gathered at the Belknap Liquor and Lounge on the evening of Oct. 24 to honor the memory of Todd Eckhart, whose music left a lasting mark on the Northland.
Among those performing was local musician Sheila Wonders, who shared both her voice and memories of Todd, reflecting on the impact he had on those around him. Also in attendance were the members of the “Scooby Doos,” a devoted group of fans given that nickname by Eckhart himself.
“We’re all a bit shaken up still. I mean, I’m just processing, you know, it’s really sad. I just saw him last week.” “It’s going to leave a hole, a big hole. He was always playing. He was always working, always busy,” said local musician Sheila Wonders.
Though Todd may be gone, his music continues to echo in the hearts of those who gathered tonight, proof that his legacy lives on in every note and memory he inspired.
