Animal Allies highlighting pet safety during Halloween festivities
DULUTH, Minn.– With scary festivities taking place this week, it’s important to make sure you’re not scaring your pets too much.
With seemingly spooky factors such as doorbells, costumes, and decor, we’re told it’s important to take steps to keep pets safe.
On Halloween, it’s recommended to keep dogs and cats indoors, get secure collars, and make sure they’re microchipped.
Once the festivities are over, Animal Allies staff told FOX 21, there’s more to watch out for.
“It’s always a really good idea to make sure that you have a collar on with updated tag information. Get a microchip if you can, so that if your animal does sneak out, we can get them back to you as soon as possible,” said Nicole Facciotto, adoption manager at Animal Allies.
For ‘Howl-o-ween’, Animal Allies is celebrating by highlighting long-term dogs looking for homes.
Happening now through November 2nd, several dogs will be available for $200.
