City Hall Hosts Trick-or-Treaters

DULUTH, Minn. — The Duluth City Hall is back hosting trick-or-treaters for its City Hall-oween event.

City staff participated in decorating the offices throughout the building, which featured many themes, one being the Wizard of Oz, for the mayor’s office. The event serves as a safe place for children to come in costume and trick-or-treat from City Hall offices, as well as the Duluth Police and Fire Departments.

“We have to do a couple of things, I think, as a community,” Mayor Roger Reinert, City of Duluth. “One, provide safe places for kids to come, and also, kids like this is a great opportunity to hit a lot of candy in a very confined space. But then also, just take a minute and sort of the midst of all of the heavy stuff that’s going on in the world right now to just have fun.”

The celebration brought plenty of fun both inside and outside City Hall, where police joined in with their bus for the trick-or-treaters.
