Coffee Conversation: DECC expands its reach with national tours and productions
DULUTH, Minn. — The Duluth Entertainment Convention Center is expanding its reach — bringing a wider variety of performances to the Northland, from local favorites like the Minnesota Ballet to national touring productions.
This winter, Minnesota Ballet’s The Nutcracker: A Duluth Tale will return to Symphony Hall, with performances December 12 at 7 p.m. and December 13–14 at 3 p.m.
DECC Executive Director Dan Hartman says the goal is to bring more national acts to Duluth—adding that it’s helping spark renewed interest in local performances too. “I think that’s inspiring people to attend some of our local ballet as well, which has such a long legacy here at the DECC and throughout the community.”
Most recently, audiences experienced The Great Gatsby by the World Ballet Company — offering a glimpse into the expanding variety of arts and entertainment taking center stage at the DECC.
