Studio Apartments Coming to Downtown Superior
SUPERIOR, Wis. — New studio apartments are being built in the heart of downtown Superior.
The project is located at the corner of Hammond Avenue and Belknap Street, across from the Superior City Courthouse and City Hall.
The building used to house the PhoCali Vietnamese restaurant until it closed in 2022.
Now, the structure is being turned into nine studio apartments, with the apartments featuring on-site parking, coin-operated laundry services, and a secured lobby entrance.
The ownership group, which includes Tom Hanson of Duluth Grill and OMC Smokehouse, told FOX 21 the goal is to keep the rent around $1,000 a month.
Units are expected to be available by the summer of 2026.
