Ty Hanson Claims NCHC Defenseman of the Week Honors for 2nd Time this Season

The former Hermantown Hawk led the conference with seven blocked shots in UMD's series against North Dakota.

DULUTH, Minn.- UMD defenseman Ty Hanson has once again been named the NCHC Defenseman of the Week.

The former Hermantown Hawk led the conference with seven blocked shots in UMD’s series against North Dakota.

Hanson also netted the game-winning goal in Friday’s 4-3 overtime victory.

This is the 2nd time this season he’s earned Defenseman of the Week honors.

He’s also the 6th Bulldog to be honored by the conference this season.
