CHUM’s prepped for Thanksgiving Boxes

Chum Turkey DayDULUTH, Minn. — CHUM’s prepped to hand out over 300 boxes of Thanksgiving staples to families for the holiday.

Each box will include Turkey, Stuffing, Gravy, Instant Potatoes, canned fruits and veggies, mac and cheese, and of course pumpkin pies.

They’ll include other products need to make those items as well such as milk.

Chum partnered with local churches, schools and Super 1 to meet the donation goals for this annual tradition.

“You want to be able to have a meal for your family, you know, and show them that the struggle isn’t there, even though it really is. So being able to provide them with turkeys, pies, everything that we put in the box is so important to me and to the people that work or volunteer at CHUM.” said April LeDoux, Director of Distributive Services at CHUM.

Boxes are first-come, first-serve.

Monday November 24th, CHUM will pass out 100 boxes at Our Saviors Lutheran Church.

Wednesday November 26th, Chum will pass out 200 boxes at their Food Shelf in Downtown Duluth.

They will pass out any extra boxes Wednesday as well.

The food shelf will be closed Thursday, November 27th.
