The firearm deer hunting season so far

Deer Hunting PicDULUTH, Minn. — Almost one week into Firearm Deer season and the initial totals are rolling in.

Current firearm harvest totals are about 63% of last year’s total across the entire season.

Over 85 thousand deer have been harvested by firearm statewide so far.

Last year’s totals were over 134 thousand for the entire firearms season.

In total, 108,736 have been harvested this year across all methods.

That represents about 63% of last year’s 170,679 total deer harvested.

The firearm season ends Nov. 16th for most zones in northeastern Minnesota and ends Nov. 23 for most of the western and central MN zones.

The late southeast firearms season runs from Nov. 22nd to Nov. 30th.
