Friday Evening Northland Forecast: 11/14/2025

A Cooler and Windy Weekend

It was quite enjoyable to hit 50 degrees for a high in Duluth on Friday. And now, thanks to a cold front going over us tonight, we will return to Autumn, at about noon on Saturday. The mild SE winds were what warmed us up so nicely on Friday, but on Saturday, behind that cold front, the winds will shift to the NW, and they’ll come blasting in, at up to 40mph. That’s just how Fall can be. I’m sure you’ve heard of the Gales of November. We will have a high of about 45 at noon on Saturday, and then it’s all downhill from there. Saturday night, we’ll head down to the low to mid 20s (colder on the Range). On Sunday, we’ll have lots of sunshine, and wind, and a high of about 40. Our highs next week will be mainly in the mid to upper 30s.

We are now about 10.5″ below where we should be, for precipitation for the year. I would love to see us get some moisture in any form (rain, snow, sleet or hail). Unless we get a lot of snow this winter (average is about 80″), we are going to be very prone for wildfires next spring. I think we all know how stinky that can be! Our next opportunity for rain appears to be next Thursday…as rain…at least, at this point.

Enjoy the weekend. After Saturday morning, it will be mainly sunny. And, real windy!
