Crews respond to early morning garage fire in Cherry Township
CHERRY, Minn. — Crews responded to an early morning garage fire in Cherry Township.
Sunday morning around 1:30 a.m. the St. Louis County Sheriff’s office was notified of a garage fire in the 10000 Blk of Hayes Rd., in Cherry Township located East of the City of Hibbing.
Upon arrival the garage was fully engulfed in flames.
Occupants and pets of the nearby house were unharmed.
The initial investigation indicates that the fire started from a barrel stove in the garage that had been used previously in the night.
