Second Harvest Northland feeds 313,000 meals thanks to Super One Foods customers

Bag Hunger StillDULUTH, Minn. — Super One Foods’ Annual Bag Hunger Campaign resulted in over $100,000 being raised for Second Harvest Northland.

After an extended 3-week campaign, Second Harvest can now provide over 313,000 meals thanks to the efforts of Super One customers.

Customers could choose to donate between $1, $3, and $5 or round up their change.

The campaign occurred during the thick of the government shutdown and SNAP delay, when much of the community was coming together to support their neighbors.

“We have had high demand since the government shutdown. We knew that customers wanted to support us, and just by judging the food behind me and the check that we just received, people really came out. They shared their hearts at such an important time. And I feel like we can always count on the Northland when we’re in a crisis like this,” said Shaye Moris, President and CEO of Second Harvest Northland.

The annual Bag Hunger drive has been running for over ten years, and Super One Foods has been partnering with Second Harvest Northland for nearly three decades.
