‘Get up and boogie!’ George Thorogood & The Destroyers coming to Duluth
DULUTH, Min. – George Thorogood & The Destroyers are hitting the road for more shows in 2026, one of them is coming to Duluth.
The show is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 7:30pm at the DECC Symphony Hall. He told FOX21 that he wants the fans dancing and laughing at the concert, “Get up and boogie!”
Over the past 5+ decades George Thorogood & The Destroyers have played more than 8,000 live shows and sold more than 15 million albums sold.
FOX21 asked Thorogood what fans should expect from a George Thorogood concert he said, “The nice thing about our band, is somethings in life should be predictable. Lets put it this way… after all of this time there is no mystery to Thorogood and the Destroyers. We’re about as mysterious as a Chevy Dealership, or a cold Budweiser, or a cheeseburger. But that’s out of design.”
Thorogood said his goal is not to give the audience a good show. It’s to give the audience a great show, “They don’t pay for good shows… they pay for great shows. That’s what they pay for.” You can expect the hits. “We did a show not too long ago, and I announced after three songs ‘tonight we’re doing no new songs’ and I got a standing ovation.”
In 1976 they debuted. In that time they’ve had chart-topping hits like ‘One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer’, ‘Move It On Over’, ‘Who Do You Love?’, ‘I Drink Alone’, ‘Get A Haircut’ and ‘Bad To The Bone’.
We asked Thorogood if he was going to bar now and ordering ‘One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer’ what brands would he be be ordering? He said, “At this point in my life it’s ‘near beer’. How is that? We have a new song for Thorogood: No Bourbon, No Scotch and No Beer.”

GEORGE THOROGOOD & THE DESTROYERS: The Baddest Show On Earth Tour with special guests THE ROBERT CRAY BAND
There will be a $1 ticket add-on with all proceeds going toward the research of Ronald D. Alvarez, MD, MBA, Chairman and Clinical Service Chief and Betty and Lonnie S. Burnett Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Thorogood said, “It’s a serious thing. We’re very please we can be in a situation where we can afford to do that. Who knows. Maybe you or me might get drastically sick and we might need somebody’s help.”
Part of Alvarez’s work studies gene mutations that put women at risk for ovarian and breast cancer and identifies those at risk to prevent cases.
In 2019, George Thorogood lost his wife of thirty-four years, Marla, to ovarian cancer.
The “The Baddest Show On Earth Tour” has The Robert Cray Band opening in a number of the stops including the March show in Duluth.
“They’ve been constant since the time I met them,” Thorogood told FOX21. “They’re part of the team!”
It’s not the first time Thorogood has visited Duluth. In a pervious visit he stopped at Bob Dylan’s boyhood home to pay homage to the great artist.
Just over the summer, George’s famed Gibson ES-125TDC ‘Bad To The Bone’ guitar got a permanent exhibit at The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
