Late Third Period Goal Lifts Hayward Girls Hockey Over Superior in Season Opener

After a scoreless first two periods, the Hurricanes found the back of the net to defeat the Spartans 1-0. 

SUPERIOR, Wis.- The Superior girls hockey team held their season and home opener tonight, taking on their section rivals the Hayward Hurricanes.

After a scoreless first two periods, the Hurricanes found the back of the net to defeat the Spartans 1-0.

Hayward is back in action on Tuesday, November 25th, against Northern Tier.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m.

For the Spartans, their next game is on Tuesday, November 25th, against Moose Lake Area.

Game time is at 6:30 p.m.
