St. Scholastica takes Thanksgiving to the DECC free buffet

DULUTH, Minn. — The College of St. Scholastica hosted a free Thanksgiving buffet at the DECC on Thursday.

This is their 30th year producing the event.

Volunteers were there early to help out, and people were ready for turkey and other fixings.

The event was for anyone to have a hot meal, as St. Scholastica said no one should be alone on the holiday.

“It means a lot to us at St Scholastica, it’s a real big part of our mission and our values. And for those of us on the leadership committee, we all come from different backgrounds but we all believe in one thing and that’s giving back to our community,” said the event organizer, Monica Hendrickson.
