Maintenance crew member falls from tower in Douglas County, official tells FOX 21

LAKE NEBAGAMON, Wis. – A maintenance crew member fell from a tower in Douglas County this morning, a county board supervisor told FOX 21 Monday evening.

Earlier in the day, the Lake Nebagamon Volunteer Fire Department posted on its social media showing two pictures of Life Link on scene of an “incident involving a tower maintenance crew.”

The department referred all questions to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The Village of Lake Nebagamon’s administrator/clerk, Daisha Nolan, released the following statement to FOX 21 Monday evening:

“Our office was contacted by our Local Fire Department at 10:45AM with a request to have our Public Works Department provide assistance with plowing an efficient access to the incident for the incoming EMR services. I will have to refer you to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department for further information.  Our thoughts and prayers as a community are with all of those affected.”

FOX 21 reached out to Sheriff Izzard on Monday but did not hear back by news time at 9 p.m.
