UMD stores preparing for finals weeks and holidays

DULUTH, Minn.– It’s a busy time of year with finals, and the holidays all wrapped together.

And luckily, UMD is prepared for all of it.

The UMD store will be celebrating cyber-Monday and continuing through finals week.

For the occasion, they’re putting lots of UMD merchandise on sale.

And to get through final exams, they’ve assembled ‘survival kits’ to purchase for students.

Each kit is stockpiled with snacks, drinks, and study tools.

And as for the inspiration, staff said, they have insider knowledge.

“We have the luxury of having a lot of student employees that work for us here in the bookstore. So, we asked them, ‘What do you want when you’re trying to cram for finals, when you’re trying to study for those last couple of projects and get things done?” said Julie Feiring, Marketing Director, UMD stores.

And this holiday season, customers have the option to help out those in need with a special purchase.

“For every bear that’s purchased, we’re going to give $10 to champs cupboard, which is our on-campus food pantry for students and faculty and staff who need a little help through the holiday season,” explained Feiring.
