Carlton County Animal Rescue hosts open house for interested families
CLOQUET, Minn. — The Carlton County Animal Rescue held an open house to showcase some cats and kittens who are looking for their future homes.
Those in attendance were treated to some quality time with their potential forever friends, as well as a presentation in which they could learn more about the organization and the people behind it.
Through donations and selling merchandise at events like this one, CCAR is continuing to move toward their end goal: their very own rescue center.
“Between next summer and the summer after, we’re hoping we could be able to be to the point where we’re breaking ground,” said the rescue’s Board President Erin Thompson. “I think it depends on what we hear from architects and contractors, and getting the conditional use permits, and so we know there’s steps with that.”
“I feel very confident that we are getting the support we need from the community,” said Thompson.
The rescue encourages those interested to attend an event in the future, or to find more information on their website.
