Parent speaks out following Superior Middle School incident

SUPERIOR, Wis.– Following the incident that ended up involving the Superior Middle School, one mother is making her voice heard about the aftermath of this situation.

During the difficult moments, Katie Hagglund of Duluth said she was impressed with how the City of Superior handled the situation.

However, she’s still feeling confusion and mixed emotions after everything played out.

But now, it’s all about navigating next steps, including having difficult conversations with her kid.

“You have a sixth grader who initially is super excited about not having to go to school on a Monday but also trying to kind of internalize what that means and why that’s happening. So as a parent, you’re just trying to have conversations that you never expected to happen,” explained Hagglund.

Hagglund went on to express her gratitude to the Superior Police Department for consistently keeping the community updated.
