RSM Duluth donates $21,000 to Duluth Area Family YMCA
DULUTH, Minn.– A recent $21,000 donation to the Duluth Area Family YMCA came largely from a place of love.
RSM Duluth, part of a global accounting firm, has partnered with the YMCA for its annual ‘Power of Love Stewardship Campaign.’
Each year, the campaign focuses on selecting a youth-centered organization to support through volunteer service and fundraising efforts.
A managing partner for RSM said the YMCA was chosen for its strong alignment with the community.
“It’s a challenging economy for everybody, and so the fact that our team members can help support communities through the Y, it’s pretty exciting, and we’re really proud of the membership and the work that our team puts in,” said John Evans, managing partner at RSM.
The president and CEO of the Duluth YMCA said they have a strong partnership with RSM.
And the money will help fund youth programming, and even outlets such as food access for the community.
“There is nothing more important to me than living in a connected and healthy community. So, it means everything to know that the YMCA can be a part of that, along with partners like RSM,” said Sara Cole, CEO & President, Duluth Area Family YMCA.
The Duluth YMCA offers youth programming for children as young as six weeks old, and they cater to teenagers as well.
