Superior man charged with attempting to kill his ex-girlfriend
SUPERIOR. Wis – “I thought he was going to kill me” that is what the alleged victim of Dave Bolden said to law enforcement.
Bolden is accused of attempting to kill his ex-girlfriend on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at a residence on the 2800 block of Ogden Avenue in Superior.
The victim said she had recently broken-up with Bolden.
She expected him to come to her home to retrieve a Firestick.
She said Bolden started stabbing her the moment she opened the door. She told officers, “I opened the door, and he just lunged at me.”
Bolden allegedly stabbed her seven times. The victim had multiple cuts on her head and her hands.
Superior Police report they received a call tipping them to where Bolden was hiding after the alleged attack.
They responded to the area where Bolden reported to be and took him into custody without incident.
Charging documents quoted Bolden as he was being arrested asking for a cigarette because “it would be his last one.”

Charging documents also quote Bolden as allegedly saying. “Is she OK? Is she dead?” and “Don’t tell me she’s dead”,
Officers discovered “a red box cutter” in the home where Bolden was arrested which they believed to the weapon Bolden used.
Bolden made his Initial Appearance in Douglas County Court on December 19. He was given a $1,000,000 cash bond.
He is officially changed with Attempt 1st-Degree Intentional Homicide.
He is slated to next be in court on December 22.
