Man airlifted after Snowmobile accident on Bailey’s Lake

VIRGINIA, Minn. — A man was airlifted to Duluth after a snowmobile accident in Virginia.

According to officials, on Wednesday at around 2:18 a.m., officers responded to a report of an unknown problem near Bailey’s Lake.

The caller said that they saw a bright light and heard what they thought was a generator running.

When officers arrived, they found a 41-year-old man lying around 20 feet away from a running snowmobile.

Crews began to render aid, and the man was taken to a nearby hospital in Virginia and then airlifted to Duluth.

Officials say that the accident took place around 75 yards out on the lake.

At this time, there are no updates on his condition.
