Esko Native & Minnesota Safety Koi Perich to Enter Transfer Portal

After two seasons at the University of Minnesota, Esko native and Gophers safety Koi Perich is entering the transfer portal.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- After two successful seasons at the University of Minnesota, Esko native and Gophers safety Koi Perich is now exploring other options.

Late Thursday night, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that Perich intends to enter the transfer portal.

Thamel added that number three is open to returning to Minnesota but still will speak with other teams.

In two seasons, Perich had 128 tackles and six interceptions while earning All-Big Ten honors both years.

He was also a freshman All-American in 2024.
