Twin Ports Trailer Trash gearing up for Christmas tree pickup
DULUTH, Minn. — The Grinch isn’t stealing Christmas this year; he’s cleaning it up.
As the holiday season wraps up, Twin Ports Trailer Trash is getting ready to pick up Christmas trees across the region.
The company began offering the service eight years ago as a way to give back to the community during its slower winter season.
The free curbside Christmas tree pickup is available across Duluth, Superior, Proctor, and Hermantown, which helps keep trees out of landfills, reduces fire hazards, and takes some of the hassle off residents’ hands.
Crews will be out this Thursday and Friday, with sign-ups open through midnight tonight on the company’s website.
Families may even spot the Grinch along the way, adding a little extra holiday cheer to the cleanup.
“I absolutely love when I’m out there being in the Grinch, because I just love seeing the smile on the kids’ faces,” Kevin Potter, director of operations for Twin Ports Trailer Trash. “I’ll keep the costume on as we’re driving around in the trucks, and you’ll see people waving at me and all that. And it’s, it’s just a lot of fun to be a part of that.”
If you’re interested in the free Christmas tree pickup, you can sign up through the company’s website at junkremoval.com.
