Applications for 2026 Citizen Police Academy are open

DULUTH, Minn. — The Duluth Police Department is now accepting applications for the 2026 Citizen Police Academy.

This academy offers community members to learn about the different tactics, operations, and divisions of the DPD through in-field hands-on and in classroom learning.

The idea is to teach about the process and why they do things the way they do.

It will take place Wednesdays, 6 to 9 pm from March 4th until May 6th.

Those interested will need to fill out an application and criminal history form.

The forms are available on the Duluth Police Department website.

Accepted applicants will be contacted in February.
