MiigWitches Brew opens second location at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College
CLOQUET, Minn.– A familiar cup of coffee is being brewed up at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College.
MiigWitches Brew has opened a second location, this time serving up students and staff at the local college.
The coffee shop gained popularity in 2024 when a husband and wife team opened a drive-up stand on the Fond du Lac Reservation.
While best known for its maple lattes, the shops menu ranges from classic coffee drinks to baked goods.
The new location brings new customers and new opportunities by being located at the college.
“Kids are looking forward to some caffeine, along with staff. You know, got to wake the staff up, but just as much as the kids to get them going, get their brains firing. But yeah, I’m looking forward to it. It’s a new opportunity for us, a younger, little bit younger demographic,” Jackson Ripley, Miigwitches Brew Co-Owner said.
The original location will remain open and unchanged and the second location looks to gain new employees through the college.
“We’re hoping to work with the business students here on campus. They have a new business program that they’re launching, and so we’re hoping that they can be part of this kind of have an understanding of how a small business works, you know, what all goes into it,” Ripley said.
MiigWitches Brew is ready for the start of the new semester next week and will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
