Spirit Mountain sees strong winter season
DULUTH, Minn. — According to the Spirit Mountain Ski Patrol, the area has seen plenty of fresh snow, and with a little added help from Snowmakers, the entire mountain is now open to all skiers and snowboarders. Instructors are on hand for those trying the sport for the first time, making it a great opportunity for beginners to give skiing or snowboarding a try, even in the cooler weather.
“So today skiing is amazing,” said Carina Peterson, ski patrol at Spirit Mountain. “It’s like spring skiing out here. It’s my favorite kind of skiing. And it’s been colder earlier in the season. It was flat light, early in the day, then the sun came out, and it’s a beautiful bluebird day.
Spirit Mountain staff encourage people of all ages and levels to come out and ski or snowboard this season.
