The Banff Mountain Film Fest returns to the Twin Ports
DULUTH, Minn. — The Banff Mountain Film Festival returns to Duluth this weekend, bringing stories of adventure from around the world to Symphony Hall.
The two-night event is being put on by the Duluth Cross-Country Ski Club and will feature award-winning films from around the world. The films vary from outdoor adventures, environmental stories, and high-energy action sports. Each night will include a lineup of different films, local beverages, outdoor gear displays, and a raffle with all proceeds going directly to the local Cross-Country Ski Club.
“I’ve been directing this festival for a lot of years, and I’ve seen a lot of awesome growth,” said Mark Nyholm, director of the Banff Film Festival. “It wasn’t that many years ago that we sold out Symphony Hall, so that’s 2000 people each night.”
The doors open at 5 both nights, with the films starting at 7 p.m. Tickets currently cost $25 and will be $30 at the event.
