Former UMD Offensive Lineman Aiden Williams Signs Reserve/Future Contract with Steelers
The offensive guard was originally signed by Pittsburgh in April as an undrafted free agent.
DULUTH, Minn.- Former UMD offensive lineman Aiden Williams is back in the NFL and back with the team that originally signed him out of college.
On Wednesday, Williams and the Pittsburgh Steelers agreed on a reserve/future contract.
The offensive guard was signed by Pittsburgh in April as an undrafted free agent.
He was then released by the Steelers from their practice squad in September.
Nearly a month later, the Alaska native was picked up by the Carolina Panthers and was on their practice squad for a week.
A reserve/future contract is essentially a prove-it deal for players not on an active roster. Williams will count towards the 90-man roster when the new league year begins in March.
