Plante Brothers & Ty Hanson Land On Hobey Baker Award Fan Ballot

The Hobey Baker Award winner will be announced on April 10th in Las Vegas.

DULUTH, Minn.- A trio on the UMD men’s hockey team has landed on the original Hobey Baker Award fan ballot.

They are the Plante brothers, Zam and Max, plus defenseman Ty Hanson.

The fan vote accounts for a full one percent of the total ballot in each phase in selecting this year’s award recipient.

There will be two phases of fan voting before the list reaches a top 10 in March.

Then the list goes down to a final three on April 2nd before the winner is announced on April 10th at the Frozen Four in Las Vegas.
