UW-Superior introduces new Sports and Recreation Management degree
SUPERIOR, Wis.– Students at University Wisconsin Superior who love sports, now have the option to study it further.
UW-Superior announced its new Bachelor of Science degree in sports and recreation management.
It’s expecting to attract students that are ready to dive deeper into their passion.
The degree was once offered as a minor.
One student said, he wasted no time looking into the new path.
“It’s what I’m looking to do after college, being an athletic director at some point. So, this ties hand in hand with what I’m looking to do. So, it’s great that the university is offering a direct route to it, so that I can just speed my way and have an exact athletic director job after,” said Dante Westmiller, sophomore at UW-Superior.
A UW-Superior staff member said, there’s numerous pathways with the sports and management degree.
“I think this will be great to promote to prospective student athletes. I know a lot of times when we do have people who are looking at the school that has been a question that has come up. And previously, we were able to say we have this minor, but now being able to say that we have a major is a huge plus,” said Niya Wilson, Business Operations and Compliance Manager, UW-Superior.
The Sports and Recreation Management degree is offered both on-campus, and online as well.
