He’s better known for his snow sculptures outside his house.

His work can be seen, driving up 21st ave.  He’s been making snow sculptures for 38 years.

Welty stated, his mother was an artist and wanted him to be an artist as well.

People remember his political peices the most; particularly the President Trump inspired sculptures.

Welty says, “This particular 2nd term of the trump presidency, it’s all about vengeance. Well I had my own marcurial sense of vengeance as well. And it was a fresh snowfall and it was brand new year and I thought baby new year always starts the year. I just gave mine gold hair.”

His current sculpture is in honor of Renee Good, who was fatally shot in Minneapolis by an ICE agent.

He says, what happened was crude and hurtful. He wanted to express his feelings for a young mother losing her life.

Although some people are annoyed at some of his peices,  he is confident that people will forgive him and like his next scuplture.
