Second shooting reported in Duluth in one day; Sheriff says incidents are not connected

DULUTH, Minn. — Law enforcement are investigating a second shooting in one day in Duluth Tuesday evening, but St. Louis County Sheriff Gordon Ramsay says the two are not related.

The latest incident happened at 80th Avenue West and Grand Avenue in Norton Park.

According to resident Kyle Langlee, he “heard the squealing tires of the vehicle getting pit maneuvered by the sheriffs department, 5 second pause, 2 quick shots, then around 20ish shots.”

As of 11:15 p.m., official information on what all went down was not released by the Sheriff’s Office.

As for the first shooting Tuesday afternoon, it happened on the 400 block of Piedmont Avenue.

The body of a man was seen outside an SUV at the intersection of 4th Street and Piedmont.
