Police release name of victim in fatal Piedmont Ave shooting
DULUTH, Minn. — The Duluth Police Department has released the name of the victim in Tuesday’s fatal shooting.
According to officials, the victim was 33-year-old Darius Handy of Duluth.
The fatal shooting occurred in the 400 block of Piedmont Avenue, where officers found one man dead from apparent gunshot wounds, according to a news release.
It is believed by police that both the suspect and victim knew each other, and there is no active threat to the public.
Officials say they are still investigating whether the shooting is related to the separate St. Louis County Sheriff’s Deputy shooting on Tuesday night.
