Meth and crack drug bust in Cohasset
COHASSET, Minn. – The Aitkin-Itasca-Mille Lacs Violent Crimes Enforcement Team says they made a drug bust in Cohasset.
The Grand Rapids Police Department worked with the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office to arrest Kenneth Dean Smith, 62, of Shakopee.
Law Enforcement says they were tipped off that Smith was in the area and had numerous active warrants for his arrest.
When they made the stop, they discovered more than one pound of methamphetamine and several grams of crack cocaine.

Smith was charged with 1st Degree Controlled Substance Crimes, 5th Degree Controlled Substance Crimes, 2nd Degree DWI, 2nd Degree Test Refusal, Driving Canceled Inimical to Public Safety (IPS), DOC Warrant, and multiple out-of-county warrants.
He was booked into jail on February 16, 2026.
