Father, daughter arrested in separate DWI incidents at same scene
WHITE TOWNSHIP, Minn. – Minnesota State Troopers say at 9:35 am on the morning of February 18, 202,6 they spotted a vehicle weaving within traffic lines. Troopers began to watch the vehicle and noticed it was driving on the center line of County Road 100 in White Township, near Aurora. The vehicle continued to weave and then almost hit a bridge’s concrete barrier. The license plate light on the vehicle was also not working. Charging documents say the trooper then decided to pull over the vehicle, finding Jason Ray Jacobs driving.
Jacobs allegedly immediately started talking when a trooper approached the vehicle, saying he “just got smashed at his property” and his driver’s license was canceled. Jacobs then asked the trooper not to take him to jail. All of that allegedly happened prior to the trooper introducing themselves and explaining why they pulled over Jacobs. The trooper said Jacobs’ seatbelt was buckled behind him and he had “watery, bloodshot eyes and that he had pinpoint (constricted pupils.” The charging documents continued to say Jacobs spoke consistently, even when being told to stop talking and slow down.
Jacobs was then asked to exit his vehicle for a sobriety test. The trooper alleged Jacobs failed three of the sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DWI and driving without a license.
Charging documents say Allison Rae Jacobs was driving by and saw the initial traffic stop. Jason Jacobs is her father. Allison stopped to ask a trooper what was happening. The trooper walked to the driver’s side of Allison’s vehicle. The trooper said Allison had “watery eyes, exaggerated motor movements, and a fast cadence to her speech.” The trooper also said Allison had a fresh injection site on the back of her hand.
The trooper then asked Allison to pull her car over to the side of the road. Allison was observed to have “slight white foaming around the corners” of her mouth. The trooper says they asked Allison to get out of her car, which she did. The trooper asked Allison to roll up her sleeves. The trooper said they noticed “another fresh injection site on [Allison’s] left forearm, directly on the vein.” Following a field sobriety test, Allison was placed under arrest. Charging documents say her car was searched, and a hypodermic needle was found in the driver’s side door.
She was ticketed for DWI.
Both of the Jacob’s made their first appearance in court on February 19, 2026. They are slated to be back on court later on in February.
