Duluth Marshall’s Marsolek & Hayden Announce Next Steps in Baseball Careers

The duo also helped lead the Hilltoppers to a state tournament appearance last season.  

DULUTH, Minn.- On the diamond, Two Duluth Marshall baseball players have found their next home at the college level.

Junior Pitcher Alden Marsolek will join his older brother Owen Marsolek at St. Thomas.

Last season Alden recorded an ERA of 1.30 on the mound and threw 40 strikeouts in 8 games.

The other Hilltopper who will continue his baseball career at the next level is senior outfielder Charlie Hayden, who committed to UW-Superior this week.

In his junior campaign, Hayden had 18 hits and 14 RBI’s.

The duo also helped lead the Hilltoppers to a state tournament appearance last season.
