Tate Swanson Named Finalist for Mr. Hockey Award, Bryce Francisco Up for Brimsek Award

The award winners will be announced during state tournament week.

HIBBING, Minn.- The finalists for the top two awards in prep boys hockey in Minnesota were announced on Friday.

Landing on the list for each award included a local product.

First for the Mr. Hockey Award, Hibbing/Chisholm’s Tate Swanson is one of 10 finalists.

He currently leads the Bluejackets with 26 goals and 37 assists.

Then for the Frank Brimsek Award, Hermantown’s Bryce Francisco lands in the final three.

In his 2nd full year as the starter, Francisco has a .914 saves percentage and a 2.68 goals against average.

The award winners will be announced during state tournament week.
