#10 UMD Women’s Hockey Takes Series Sweep Over #3 Minnesota for the First Time Since 2017

Tova Henderson scored both overtime goals in the Bulldogs series sweep against Minnesota.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- The UMD women’s hockey team wrapped up its series with #3 Minnesota on Saturday night.

It was another battle between the Bulldogs and the Golden Gophers, ending regulation tied 1-1.

In overtime, Bulldog defender Tova Henderson was the hero for the Bulldogs again, knocking down the game-winning goal to take down the Gophers 2-1 in OT.

Henderson scored both overtime goals in the Bulldogs series sweep against Minnesota.

This series marks the first time UMD swept the Gophers since the 2017 season.

UMD will now await its first-round opponent in the WCHA playoffs.
