Minnesota Star Wars Collectors Alliance hosts 3rd annual Frozen Force Art Showcase

HERMANTWON, Minn. — People across the Northland gathered at the AAD Shrine Event Center for the 3rd annual Frozen Force artist showcase.

It originally started as a small gathering in the front yard of Stephen Kaarbo. He’s the president of the Minnesota Star Wars Collectors Alliance. This year, the showcase featured more than 20 local and national artists offering original sci-fi and fantasy-themed artwork for auction and raffle. All proceeds benefit the Minnesota Masonic Children’s Clinic for Communication Disorders.

The kind of camaraderie of coming together in a warm spot when it’s a little cold outside to enjoy some fun sci-fi adventures,” said Karrbo.

Karrbo says the showcase serves as a winter kickoff to Excalibur Con, a larger summer sci-fi and comic convention happening in August 2026.
