CHUM preparing for 14th annual chili cook off
DULUTH, Minn.– Chili lovers of the Northland should prepare for an event they’re sure to love.
On Thursday, at Our Savior’s Lutheran church from 4:30 to 6 p.m. community members will get to sample and judge 14 different types of chilies.
This is a tradition CHUM has been doing for 14 years now.
The goal is to raise $1,000, which will go towards the CHUM food shelf.
“It’s just kind of a neat way to get people together, people, you know, it, you know, kind of highlights our church. We have the chum food shelf here every Monday, so it’s just kind of, we’re coordinated pretty well with CHUM,” said Robert Jenko, Chairman for the chili cook off.
If you’re planning to go, it’s advised you show up hungry for this event, because it is an all you can eat chili.
It costs $10 for ages 10 plus, and $5 for ages 9 and under.
